Nike
Air Max 1

Special Notes

The Nike Air Max 1 DNA Ch.1 Pack Purple Punch pays homage to its designer Tinker Hatfield, the legendary figure behind some of the label’s most coveted silhouettes. Another one of Hatfield’s most timeless designs is the Nike Air Huarache that first released in 1991, which serves as heavy inspiration for the AM1 in question, basing the purple colourway on a classic Huarache release titled “Purple Punch”. It’s releasing as part of a pack of two that also contains a Huarache reinvented in a signature Air Max 1 colourway, following on from a similar capsule that was launched earlier this year. They’re crafted from premium quality leather panels for a luxurious feel throughout that is accented with durable nylon trims to keep the look clean. Nike Air branding can be found on the tongue, heel and the insoles for an instantly-recognisable look, with flat athletic laces emitting instant retro vibes. There’s no doubt that the Nike Air Max 1 DNA Ch. 1 Pack Purple Punch is a high-heat release alongside it’s Huarache counterpart, and adding this to the collection will certainly be owning a piece of sneaker history that pays tribute to one of the greatest footwear designers of all time.
